What a great day we had getting ready for the winter break! From snowman "bump it" in math, to creating beautiful winter scenes, cookie decorating, and winter bingo..... what a day!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful vacation and holiday, I will miss you all!!

First Graders,

We've been having a great fall, focusing on lots of new learning and having some great events like the fire safety assembly, the sorting hat in PE and picture day. I thought everyone would love to see our class picture, so here it is........ CHEESE!!

Dear Ravens,

Today we had our first assembly, on fire safety! We learned all about fire safety rules and where even given some "homework" to do!!

1- Check the batteries in all your homes smoke detectors

2- Make and practice your families emergency plan (including having a meeting place)

3- Learn your address and phone number (in case you ever had to call 911)

First Graders,

We had an exciting week last week with the book fair AND the sorting hat in PE!!! What an exciting time of year as we get ready for fall activities, including the Hogwartz Holiday party!! I can't wait to see you learn Quidditch in the coming weeks and learn about team spirit and sportsmanship!!

Hello First Graders!

We had our first substitute teacher on Monday and we did a GREAT job!! You earned a certificate from Mrs. Strauss for great behavior and some play time reward from me the next day!! Great job team!!!
